Malaysiakini : Penang is the latest state to strip convicted former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak of his honours.
State governor Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak stripped Najib of the Darjah Utama Pangkuan Negeri (DUPN) title, which carries the Datuk Seri honorific. A statement by acting state secretary Mohd Zakuan Zakaria cited Najib's conviction and sentencing as the reason behind the move.
Najib was awarded the title in 2009. The former premier is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence
after the Federal Court upheld his conviction over the SRC International
Sdn Bhd case involving RM42 million.
On Monday, Najib and his
wife Rosmah Mansor - who had also been convicted for corruption - had
their titles from Selangor stripped.

The couple also had their titles from Negeri Sembilan stripped in 2018. However, the couple still has numerous Datuk Seri titles from other states.

For what purpose is it and who pays for this officer.
He seems to be the spokesperson for this criminal.
OCT : It is high time that all the other Royalties should recall NR and Rosmah of all titles as he is a confirmed prisoner. No reason on any delay. If NR and Rosmah are still having titles, they are spoiling the good name and honour of the Royalties.
Titles are the reflection of awards given to people with outstanding status and not upon a prisoner. Nowhere in the world has any prisoner has any titles when in jail. Let's be guided with good principles and best practices
BOBBYO : By the action of the withdrawal of the titles by the Royal House of the 3 States from Najib, Umno and all his supporters should get the message that he should not be given any special treatment.
