Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
New guidelines for foreign performers by year's end - ministry - Talibanesque Guidelines
Sunday, September 11, 2022
Malaysiakini : International acts performing in Malaysia are likely to be subjected
to new guidelines expected to be announced by the year’s end.
Communications
and Multimedia Ministry secretary-general Mohammad Mentek reportedly
said the new guidelines will take into account all sensitivities of the
public.
“We have actually been working on the new guidelines since
2019 to make them more relevant to the industry’s needs to keep up to
date with the present situation and trends,” Mohammad was quoted as
saying by The Star.
The new guidelines, he said, are
being finalised by a committee in the Central Agency for Application for
Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes (Puspal). The current guidelines already include conditions for both organisers
and performers, with the latter subjected to restrictions on how they
dress and behave on stage.
According to Mohammad, a new system is
also in the works to handle the permit application process for foreign
artistes to perform and foreign film crews to film.
Newday : Sensitivities of who? Have never lived, worked or plain existed anywhere where this word has been so abused in the name of the so few.
Are we that pathetic to be slaves to the thinly disguised conservative Islamic polemic in Malaysia that wants to take away our ability to think and act based on our personal ideals?
To borrow a line from a band that will never grace our shores (Devo) - “freedom of choice is what you want, freedom from choice is what you get”. So true in this case.
Vote this lot out in GE15, before our essential freedoms disappear down the drain forever.
Kepala Tak Centre : So this idiots succumbed to the pressure of PAS and Islamists. Another making of Talibanic country.
Avisa : what say you people in East Malaysia? want to vote for BN again .
Marriwala : Any guidelines on corruption...backstabbing..robbing
Anonymous_w22892398 : Eyes and ears are made to open and shut. The choice to do so is to the individual. If it offends you, shut. You love satay, others love different food. Don't impose your views on others. You do not have monopoly of wisdom and intelligence.
Sealthedeal :
What a ridulous attempt at control by a select few hypocrital Malays.
How dare they proscribe to others what they watch or listen to.
Who cares if an act offends the many sensitivities of one race?
This nanny state mentality is not good for diversity or freedom.
Who does the MCMC think they are?
They are a bloated ministry of empire builders that can't even discharge the roll out of 4G let alone 5G.
One Malaysian : Why all the idiots are bending backwards to please pas?
