Rudyard Kipling"
āWhen you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldierā
General Douglas MacArthur"
āWe are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.ā
āIt is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.ā āOld soldiers never die; they just fade away.
āThe soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.ā
āMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .ā āThe object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
āNobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
āIt is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Najib still warded at HKL, 1MDB trial vacated By Hidir Reduan Abdul Rashid
Wednesday, September 14, 2022
Malaysiakini : Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak is on two-day medical leave
and still warded at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) due to a blood
pressure-related condition. As a result, his RM2.28 billion 1MDB corruption before the Kuala Lumpur High Court would only resume on Sept 26.
During
open-court mention of the case before trial judge Collin Lawrence
Sequerah, lead defence counsel Muhammad Shafee Abdullah confirmed that
the former finance minister was warded at HKL.
Shafee said that he
only managed to meet his client at HKL after three hours, as he was
unable to meet the former premier and get updates from medical officers
earlier.
āI then finally managed to meet my client, he (Najib) himself does
not know how long he is going to be there. He only knows he is being
tested on a daily basis.
āThere is an MC (medical chit) provided
by the Prisons Department, based on their medical examination. The MC is
from Sept 14 to 15, and he is still at Ward 21 at HKL,ā the lawyer
explained.
Deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Akram Gharib said that
the prosecution has no objection against the defenceās application to
vacate trial tomorrow, as the accusedās condition was attested by
government officers at a public hospital. Sequerah then allowed the trial to be vacated tomorrow and for it to resume on Sept 26.
apanama is back : 12 days postponement of this trial? This is too much. Just before Sept 26 another health issue will cropped up. "Sakit gigi" and again "Sakit perut" because the BP drug causes gastritis.
12 days is too long.
Judge Collin should request for update every 2 days. Once Najib is discharged, bring him to court, if discharged in early morning, for say, 10 pm trial. If discharge late afternoon, bring bhim back to jail and the next day the trial resume.
So eat and sleep well for next 12 days for Najib at the expenses of taxpayers' money.
Before jailing, steal the taxpayers' money illegally. Now, after jailing, again steal the taxpayers' money but legally!
Folks, we are doomed!
BaiJeBo : My question is do other prisoners get MCs or exemptions from attending court on similar grounds? Why should we trust this lowlife shameless despicable prisoner? And to what extent the doctors can be trusted here?
Krabian : Not warded. Holidaying at the First Class Ward awaiting his caramel machiato dosage.
