Malaysiakini : Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng has taken Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s
administration to task over the national currency's plunging levels,
which hit a 24-year low last week.
"On Wednesday, our ringgit hit rock bottom compared to the US dollar, since the Asian financial crisis in 1998. "Why have both the prime minister and Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz gone silent altogether?
"This is a question that everyone on the street is asking the undemocratic ‘backdoor’ government led by Ismail Sabri (above, right)," Lim said in a statement. The ringgit has continued to slide
against the US dollar, passing the psychological RM4.50 mark for the
first time since January 1998, months after the onset of the Asian
Financial Crisis.
Lim said that the two unelected leaders were both silent and lost for plans to combat the slide. "The ringgit is at the lowest point for the first time in 24 years, and if this is not an economic crisis, then what is?
"Many are appalled with the lack of initiatives by Ismail to help them during the economic downturn," he added.
Fed Up bodoh sombong : For starters the back door finance minister should resign & let more capable people take over his job . There are many in this category including those that this back door unity government had usurped power without peoples mandate . The same applies to the PM . Then recover all those billions that had been stolen by their colleagues in government

Cogito Ergo Sum : The average person in the rural constituencies do not feel the impact of the falling ringgit. These are Umno/BN’s power base. Notice no one in government has really given an explanation why the currency is falling? Because it does not affect their supporters.
Only those who are importing material for industries and other goods and services will be badly affected. The administration will ignore these questions because answering them will alert their supporters that something maybe amiss.
Very concerned citizen : Hello MP Lim,you can make all the noise you want but these backdoor and unelected government who do not know anything about financial matters are not bothered as long as they get their monthly gaji buta.Things can only improve once they are thrown out come next elections

MaluBanyakBossku : You are absolutely right. This corrupt BN and backdoor PN government have not done anything to improve our country economically. Instead fighting among themselves politically and digging, sucking and swallowing as much DEDAK as possible before the dissolution of parliament.
The only political gimmick they do is give 1kg of rice, 1 bottle of cooking oil and 1 tin of Milo to the poor ordinary kampong people to buy their votes. That is all they know nothing else.
