Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Malaysiakini : PAS’ ulama wing has urged the government to give the Islamic
Development Department (Jakim) a stronger say in the regulatory body
that decides whether foreign artists are allowed to perform in Malaysia.
The
wing’s chief Ahmad Yahya said the current situation is unfortunate
because Jakim only plays a minimal role in the Central Agencies
Committee for Applications for Filming and Performances by Foreign
Artistes (Puspal).
He said this is especially in an effort to stop lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transexual (LGBT) movements. “We should be concerned about the threat of LGBT ideologues who are infiltrating this region.
JusticeNow! : I think Pas is confusing Malaysian and trying to create something that is not there. Malaysia is a country where Islam is the official religion. Malaysia is not an Islamic country. Just because some politician said it is, does not make it so unless the Constitution is changed.
Pas has been pushing a narrative as though Malaysia is an Islamic country, which it is not. We are similar to Indonesia where they have the concept of "Pancasila", where it is a circular state even though Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world. Indonesian never claim to be an Islamic state.
In Malaysia, for purely self interest political reason, the narrative of political parties and politicians continues to blur the Constitution of Malaysia.
Greg Lopez : Islamic governance in Malaysia has been an unmitigated failure. Despite the billions, perhaps trillions spent on Islam and Muslims in Malaysia, it has produced nothing but some of the most corrupt and racist Malaysians. Do away with Islam as the basis of governance, and instead go back to the origins of the rule of law - and Malaysian would be a much better place.
NewMalaysiaBeliever : Also PAS should stop using cars, planes, phones, social media etc etc etc as all these are invented and made by infidels. They should also live in the kampung and eat ulam and fish. Pathetic nincompoops.
OCT : It looks like Islam is losing the battle against modernization. When there is great stride, progress, innovation and separating facts against myths in the modern era, PAS is requesting the Govt to move the country backwards by imposing and implementing new rules and regulations to safeguard Islam.
They don't want to change but to remain isolated and be stagnant. The world is moving forward and progress with modernization but PAS prefers not only stay put but moves backwards as PAS has no solutions to compete in the modern world. PAS doesn't know how to compete with innovative and changes to meet the challenges.
It is like when you are poor with no skill, you prefer to stay at home to wait for your maker instead learn a new skill so that you can live a better life. PAS must read the book 'Who moved my cheese' to understand that change is a must and is constant.
Me Ratnam : Never ending ranting against the enjoyment of others. I wonder what does this party do throughout the year other than speaking against other peoples beliefs. Why don’t they speak about the poverty, floods, baby dumping, drug addicts etc in their own backyard?
GreenTurtle6724 : What has that to do with Islamic Deverlopment ? It only makes people think about Islam in a negative way.
My2cen : PAS is a bunch of creepy men who disguise themselves as ministers of God. But not a sound from them on corruption. No idea on economy, but OK to receive 'donation', especially if it goes into their personal accounts.
Rape is also acceptable as long as they marry the victims. And with that life philosophy, they want to rule over the rest of the people in this country. I hope all decent people will vote them out in next election.
Banish them back to their madrasah. They waste our hard-earned tax funds, and also depletes the oxygen we have to share with them. In fact, we should banish them to Afghanistan.
Kuniyo : Law for PAS is about controlling how people live; what they eat, what they drink, what they read, what they listen, what their entertainment, who they date, who they have relationship with, who they sleep with, who they build family together etc.
But it is silent on how law can fight corruption, prevent power abuses and monitor public fund spending, as if the authority as rule maker are above rules.
Is it any wonder why Kelantan and counrties ruled based on religion are more backward and corrupted
