Rudyard Kipling"
āWhen you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldierā
General Douglas MacArthur"
āWe are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.ā
āIt is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.ā āOld soldiers never die; they just fade away.
āThe soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.ā
āMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .ā āThe object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
āNobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
āIt is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Health DG disputes family's claim Najib was discharged while in bad shape
Monday, September 12, 2022
Malaysiakini : Najib Abdul Razak was in good health when he was discharged from the
Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL), said Health Ministry director-general Dr
Noor Hisham Abdullah.
This was amid complaints from Najibās family
that the former prime minister - whose condition deteriorated today -
was discharged despite being in ill health. Najib - who is serving a 12-year jail sentence - was first reported to have been admitted to HKL on Monday, Sept 4.
The
next day, his daughter Nooryana Najwa revealed that Najib was
hospitalised for stomach ulcers - a problem he has suffered from for
years which can lead to internal bleeding. However, according to Noor Hisham, Najib was admitted to HKL on
Friday, Sept 9, for an elective check-up to ensure he was in optimal
health, and not for an emergency.
It is unclear if Najib was discharged and then readmitted on Friday, or if he had stayed in the hospital from Monday onwards. Noor Hisham said that tests were conducted on Najib by experts, including heads of departments.
He
added that the hospital held two family conferences to update Najibās
kin on the test results - and that the doctors unanimously decided he
could be discharged.
Nash : I really pray for Najib to be well and healthy. He should serve his 12 year jail for SRC case and subsequent jail sentences, fully. Let history write his legacy as first crooked PM who got caught and jailed. He should witness all this being done while behind jail
Hang Babeuf : The condition of Nooryana's credibility is deteriorating -- rapidly.
Justmyview : By now, the public knows who to believe. One thing is clear, the Chief Justice has set a fine example by acting professionally and other senior government servants are now following suit, a very refreshing change.
BlueFish0451 : A criminal in jail but still behaving like the King of Cash and an untouchable PM. Anwar's and family were grateful to everyone, terima kasih all the way even to prison warden and police, except the one who gave him the black eye.
This family of cash is king is truly spoilt, blaming the whole world but themselves. They are never satisfied and that's why the civil servants were so scared of them. Leopard never change its spot.
MS : He was obviously healthy enough to go for ELECTIVE surgery on Friday. And he was discharged only after all the attending specialists unanimously confirmed that he was good to go back to jail.
And according to Health DG Noor Hisham, there was no change of the medication he was already on.
The fellow and his well-connected family, (together with some members of the press) are actively and deliberately painting a false picture of his health using every tool and lackey at their disposal.
Malaysians would be well advised to read all news media instead of relying on just one for their daily consumption of truth.
bravemalaysian : I trust the doctors evaluation and DG's statement. This guy and his family from the beginning till now has been crying wolf wolf wolf far too often and its high drama again to get public support and sympathy. I hope he rots in prison for the harm he has done to the country and future generations
saveournation : The Malaysian 'Mandela' - Cannot even last 2 weeks in jail. Finding all kind of excuses to get out! Haha. Malu lah.
MerdekaMerdekaMerdeka : āā¦.allow dad to receive proper medical care and observation,ā
Nooryana, you are suggesting that the government along with the Prisons Dept do not provide convicts proper medical care that you need to plead for it? Sue the government, Prisons Dept, HKL.
Write in to Amnesty International on the deplorable state of medical care for Malaysian prisoners.
Raise global attention on this atrocity.
BlackPony3637 : now pretending to be very ill.....
First the Malaysian judiciary is flawed...now Malaysian healthcare is flawed...
Everything is flawed, but you...right?
Haetch : Lies, lies, and more scum lies by this family of crooks!!!
