Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Zahid: Hold GE15 soon or BN may lose election - Yeah, for thieves to rule over the long suffering Malaysians
Saturday, August 20, 2022
Indon
Norman Fernandez : Nothing shows that Ismail Sabri and BN will lose should the government go the full term. A snap or early election is only for the self interest of the Court cluster and an election is the last throw of the dice to safe them. It is the Court cluster who desperately want an early election. Not the people, the voters or politicians from both divide.
Malaysiakini : BN could risk losing the upcoming 15th general election (GE15) if it
is not held within the next few months, warned Umno president Ahmad
Zahid Hamidi.
Delaying GE15, he said, would only provide the opposition with the ammunition to continue their attacks against the coalition.
The
BN chairperson alluded that it was due to this reason that the
opposition has not sought Parliament’s dissolution despite their
constant remarks about the government not having the people’s mandate or
labelling it as a “back-door” administration.
“The party
leadership and Umno grassroots are very confident that this is the best
time to hold GE15. This justification has been explained many times.
If you sincerely want UMNO to win, you should immediately step down as President of UMNO. Your reputation is being smeared through the courts daily and continuing expose of your corrupt behaviour. In fact, I am even amazed you can show your face in public and issue public statements after all that UMNO has been done to the country. This is not a compliment. Najib's fate is being determined by the Courts right now, and it not a pretty picture and a happy ending. Your fate is next.
But whoever inherits the government next is not going to have a walk in the park. Under BN's rule, the country has been cleaned out. The retirement funds have been raided, and our national security systems has been raped and made defenceless. So it's not just the economy that is suffering.
If BN rules, we are sure to be the next Sri Lanka. If opposition comes in, they may barely stop the rot, but it is going to be an uphill task.
But UMNO's narrative is only they can protect the Malays, and PAS's narrative is just pray, pray and pray, while their leaders swim in material wealth UMNO offers.
Unfortunately the majority believe them. Only when we are in the pits, they will realise. But then it is too late.
