Anon Two : Foreigners in Malaysia should not benefit from reduced prices? Who does the dirty jobs that the pampered race are unwilling to do? Don't tourists bring in revenue, etc? Idiotic turtle egg man has an even lower IQ than we give him credit for.
Malaysiakini : Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the reduced chicken price
subsidy is to enable the money to be channelled directly to the rakyat
through the Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) cash aid. He explained that the current chicken price subsidy is not only benefiting Malaysians but also foreigners.
This
meant that non-citizens working in this country are also benefiting
from the chicken price subsidy that is only supposed to be enjoyed by
Malaysians, Ismail Sabri said. āIf we give chicken subsidies, it
is not only Malaysians who benefit. Foreign workers alsoā¦ Rohingyas also
buy subsidised chicken.
āThat is why we give BKM money, we do not want to let foreigners enjoy the benefits of the subsidies. āWe take a bit (of reduction from the subsidies) and give it directly to the rakyat (through BKM),ā he said while attending a kenduri rakyat event in conjunction with the Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia roadshow programme held in Kampung Gajah, Pasir Salak, Perak today.
