Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Mukhriz denies previous Kedah govt involved in durian farm blamed for floods
Friday, July 08, 2022
OCT : This is the normal way of resolving problems by political parties in Malaysia. When disaster happens, first thing is to deny and finger point that it is the opposition that did it. Nobody owns up. There is no urgency and critical thinking of solving the problem first and fault finding later. The usual answer is it is an Act of God and He is testing us.
History has shown no politician has taken responsibilities and accountabilities for any mistake/disaster. However when reward or praises, every politician will come forward to claim it. It seems that the MB has no eyes to see, ears to hear and hands to work with such a gigantic durian project in his backyard. He spent his time quarreling with his neighbour state and not looking after his state. More disasters will happen when MB is busy playing politics than governing.

A Very Bald Mukhriz
Malaysiakini : Former Kedah menteri besar Mukhriz Mahathir has dismissed allegations
that the state government was involved in a Musang King durian farm in
Gunung Inas when he was in power, after the project was blamed for
causing deadly floods in Baling on Monday.
This came after an article was published in PAS mouthpiece Harakah Daily
yesterday, detailing several flood incidents and durian farming
activity in the area, together with a chronology of events, which is
said to have been taken from a Malay daily.

Centre’s Zikrullah Ismail who penned the article said Pakatan Harapan
supporters shouldn't blame Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor because the incumbent
menteri besar was the one who cleaned up the mess and put a stop to the
durian farm project in July 2020.
"When Sanusi ordered the durian
farm project to be halted, 809ha had been planted," he said, adding that
this reflected the strength of the farming operators during the Harapan
era.
When contacted, Mukhriz pointed out that the clearing of the forest
reserves was done by the PAS-led government in Kedah between 2008 and
2013, which was also done in Kelantan.
He also noted there were
concerns over the logging activities involving 400ha of forest reserves
in Tasik Pedu, Padang Terap, forest reserve in Bukit Bintang and Gunung
Inas.
According to Mukhriz, the late former menteri besar Azizan Abdul Razak said the state government was pushing for the country's first agrotourism park in Tasik Pedu in November 2012. Mukhriz, who was still with Umno then, said he was against the logging activities.
