Malaysiakini : Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and his predecessor Najib Abdul Razak will be attending the Sabah BN convention this Saturday. Zahid
will attend the closing of the event while Najib was slated as a
speaker at a programme called “Bicara seorang negarawan” (Thoughts of a
statesman).
In a statement, Sabah BN chief Bung Mokhtar Radin said
5,000 delegates are expected to attend the event and believed that this
would likely be the last of such gatherings before the next general
election. Bung Mokhtar said he expected party delegates to scrutinise BN’s preparation plans for the next general election.
