Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Norway: Muslim migrant screaming ‘Allahu akbar’ murders two, wounds 21 near gay bar, Oslo Pride parade canceled
Saturday, June 25, 2022
Norwegian Police
Robert Spencer : This is the latest and most violent of the jihadi pushbacks against
the increasingly assertive and aggressive “Pride” displays that are
everywhere. Earlier we saw “Pride” events in Istanbul and Ramallah
canceled after Muslims made it clear they were not welcome.
Meanwhile,
Leftists proudly consider both gays and Muslims to be part of their
coalition of “diversity,” which excludes intellectual diversity, and
gays in the U.S. declare themselves to be “Queers against Islamophobia,”
as I’ve encountered myself several times when speaking on university
campuses.
Is this jihad activity going to lead to a breakdown of that
alliance? It’s likely that the alliance will only be seriously shaken if
there are more attacks of this kind. We can all hope that such attacks
will never materialize, but odds are that they eventually will.
The cancellation of the Pride parade also suggests how societies will
move on from post-Christian relativism and materialism, and where they
will go next. “He passed the perpetrator: ‘He shouted “Allahu akbar,”‘” translated
from “Passerte gjerningsmannen: – Ropte «allahu akbar»,” by Madeleine
Hatlo, Stig Justad and Ulf André Andersen, Dagbladet, June 25, 2022 :
Two people have been killed and 21 injured in the shooting in central Oslo on Saturday night. Tormod Bakke Johnsen was on his way home from the nightclub London pub when he, on his way to a taxi, passed the perpetrator. “As
I passed him, just a few meters away, he pulled up his firearm, shouted
‘Allahu akbar’ and started shooting people down. He shot wildly,” says
Johnsen to Dagbladet. “The situation felt completely unreal,” he said, but he quickly realized that he had to get away….
“Oslo shooting near gay bar investigated as terrorism, as Pride
parade is canceled,” by Jessie Yeung, Mayumi Maruyama, James Frater and
Niamh Kennedy, CNN, June 25, 2022:
(CNN)Oslo’s annual Pride parade was canceled on Saturday following a deadly shooting at a gay bar that Norwegian police are investigating as a possible terrorist attack.
Two
people were killed and eight others taken to hospital after the
shooting near the London Pub, which describes itself on its website as
“the largest gay and lesbian venue in Oslo.”…
The suspect, charged
with terrorism, is a Norwegian citizen originally from Iran, and was
“known to the police,” but has only received “minor convictions” up
until now, prosecutor Christian Hatlo told reporters in Oslo Saturday…. Hatlo said police had charged the suspect with “murder, attempted murder and terrorist acts.”
He
said the terrorism charge was justified on the basis of the number of
injured and dead people, the number of crime scenes and an “overall
assessment” indicating that the accused intended to “create serious fear
in the population.”… The suspect was armed with two weapons
during the shooting, police said. They did not confirm what weapons he
used due to the pending investigation….
Oslo’s annual Pride parade,
scheduled to take place on Saturday, was canceled in the wake of the
shootings after “clear advice and recommendation from the police.”…
“We
will follow the police’s recommendations and take care of each other.
Warm thoughts and love go to relatives, the injured and others
affected,” said leader of Oslo Pride, Inger Kristin Haugsevje, and
leader of the Association for Gender and Sexuality Diversity, Inge
Alexander Gjestvang, in a joint statement.
“We will soon be proud and visible again, but today we will hold and share the pride celebrations from home.”
