Ricky Gervais put it perfectly "Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right". That goes for all aspects of life not just comedy.
Everybody would've forgot that joke in 15 seconds but will Smith just made everyone remember it forever. That's the best take in this whole thing I've heard! Hats off. Irreverence and humor are some of my favorite things. I actually believe it keeps us sane and loving one another. What happened that night speaks volumes about the relationship between Will and his wife. Somehow he felt compelled to appease his wife at any cost. People say he snapped in a fit of anger. It looked more like he was trying hard to convince her that he was.
I never would have known about: Chris's joke, Jada's hair loss, Jada sleeping with their son's friends, and Will being a creep kissing his son in the mouth, if Will hadn't made such a global spectacle.
