Robert Spencer : Yet another convert to Islam somehow gets the crazy idea that his new
religion, which everyone in the Western world knows is peaceful, teaches
warfare against unbelievers. Authorities persist in showing no interest
whatsoever in why this keeps happening.

Agents of the National Police have
arrested a Spanish convert in the town of Las Rozas (Madrid) for his
alleged participation in the crimes of self-indoctrination and terrorist
self-training. The suspect had already been arrested in December 2020
for crimes of the same nature.
Thanks to citizen collaboration, a
suspicious backpack was found last March, which was in the locker of a
shopping center. A citizen informed the guards of the establishment, who
informed the National Police. This backpack contained numerous material
in favor of DAESH, notes on the manufacture of explosive and incendiary
devices, as well as various electronic devices, a knife and some
nunchucks. The agents, after conducting the appropriate investigation,
were able to prove that the backpack belonged to the now detainee.
He wanted to become “the best DAESH sniper”. The
National Police maintained operational control over this individual due
to his high radicalization. The experts in the fight against terrorism
detected that the investigated continued aligned with the postulates of
DAESH and defended the most radical precepts of jihadism.
In
December 2020, he was arrested by the National Police for spreading
material with jihadist content on the Internet. In his multiple comments
on social networks, he extolled the figure of the jihadist fighters,
even expressing his desire to travel to Syria, specifically to the city
of Idlib, to join the combat.
The agents proceeded last Wednesday
to arrest him in a house where he was squatting, thus neutralizing the
threat he posed. The detainee was placed at the disposal of the head of
the Court of Instruction number six of the National High Court, whose
head ordered his entry into prison.
Collaboration with Private Security. Blue Network Project. The
National Police obtained the information on the discovery of the
backpack through the RED AZUL Project integrated in the Comprehensive
Collaboration Plan with the Private Security Sector, subsequently
coordinating in carrying out the appropriate investigative steps. This
operation reflects the effective “securities alliance” between Private
Security and the National Police.
The operation, carried out by
agents of the General Information Police Station in collaboration with
the Provincial Information Brigade of Madrid, has been coordinated by
the National High Court Prosecutor’s Office and directed by the Central
Court of Instruction number six.
