If you're looking for the best symbol of western failure in Afghanistan – it is Joe Biden, says Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
This comes after US President Joe Biden stood "squarely behind his decision" to pull American troops from Afghanistan.
"Because he's been exposed as disastrously weak and clueless and now dishonest as well with this explanation," Mr Bolt said.
"A month ago Joe Biden said none of what you've seen in Afghanistan in the last couple of days would happen.
"But for most of the past week ... Biden has been in near hiding while the Taliban overran Afghanistan and destroyed American prestige, forcing the US to send helicopters to rush out its diplomats.
Mr Bolt said on Sunday the president's staff issued a picture of him "on his own" looking at TV monitors.
"This is the incredible shrinking president. A fading geriatric, bewildered by a world he seems no longer to understand."
