Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Belgium: Muslim government commissioner resigns over links to the Muslim Brotherhood
Friday, July 16, 2021
Ihsane Haouach
Jihad Watch : Muslim Brotherhood organizations in the United States are dedicated, according to a captured internal document,
to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within, and
sabotaging its miserable house.” How did Ihsane Haouach get so far
without being thoroughly vetted? To have vetted her would have been
“Islamophobic.”
“Belgium: suspected of having links with the Muslim Brotherhood, a
member of the government resigns,” translated from “Belgique : suspectée
d’avoir des liens avec les Frères musulmans, une membre du gouvernement
démissionne,” Valeurs Actuelles, July 11, 2021:
Ihsane Haouach, government commissioner at the Institute
for Gender Equality, resigned just weeks after his appointment. A
feminist defending the wearing of the veil, she is suspected of having
links with the Muslim Brotherhood.
Ihsane Haouach’s stint in the Belgian government did not last more
than six weeks. The 36-year-old woman, known for her feminist positions,
has been at the heart of a controversy since she was appointed
government commissioner to the Institute for Gender Equality, the June
1st. An appointment that had weakened the federal majority of Prime
Minister Alexander De Croo, reports the Welt website. Ihsane Haouach
finally announced on Friday July 9 that she was stepping down from her
post.
Officially, she is stepping down in order to calm the political
climate within the government. In her resignation letter, Ihsane Haouach
referred to a “context of mistrust and violence towards [her]” which
“makes it impossible to perform [her] job efficiently.” But the woman’s
resignation could have been motivated by other reasons, argues the
Belgian daily Le Soir, including the escalation to the government of
compromising information from the intelligence services. According to
the latter, the woman maintains links with the Muslim Brotherhood, a
religious organization criticized for its communitarian vision of
society.
The news was greeted with relief by those who opposed the appointment
of Ihsane Haouach, including George Louis Bouchez, president of the
Reform Movement, a liberal party. “I’m surprised we’re surprised. This
kind of information has been filtering for weeks, so it’s still not
something unknown, at least in relation to a certain militancy, a
certain proximity with people who militate for religious principles that
would dictate or who would influence the conduct of the state and
society,” he said, as reported on the RTBF website.
During her first
appearance at the Institute for Equality, Ihsane Haouach refused to take
off her headscarf, sparking a heated debate that has continued to swell
since.
