Oh, yes. Systematic oppression made them steal a car and murder a man. That will comfort the victim's family members.
I hadnāt heard about this story until now. When I looked it up, I find it funny that they donāt describe the teenagers as āblackā. Every article I scrolled by just said ā2 teenage girlsā. Why? If weāre going to report on color of people then do it across the board. Donāt pick and choose. Donāt make color involved only when itās a white person against a black person. Put that in your headline. 2 black teenage girls killed a Pakistani man. This part of media really irritates me.
Arenāt we in the midst of a Stop Asian Hate movement? Should this not be at the top of that list? Shouldnāt an event such as this, which resulted in the death of a man of Asian descent, take a precedent in the media at a time when violence against individuals from Asia is one of the central points of attention? Or does it only count if the accused is guilty of being white as well as the actual crime committed?!?!
