Vlad Tepes : In a house hearing today, Representative Dan Crenshaw interrogated social media execs on conservative censorship. Crenshaw brought up the recent Project Veritas expose which allegedly uncovered google employees labeling Ben Shapiro and other prominent conservatives as Nazis.
Should Google apologize to Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson, and Dennis Prager? HAAAA!!!!! 🤣 “What kind of education do people at Google have?” 🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 After bitching about and pushing news about election interference for years, Google and Facebook begin to openly interfere in elections. From what I just heard Googe is not acting as a platform but a publisher and should be open for lawsuits.
Exactly. They don't have an obligation to enforce the First Amendment but acting as a publisher, and not an impartial platform operator, they have squandered their Section 230 protections under the Communications Decency Act of 1996 and should absolutely be open to litigation for redress of grievances just like other publishers. They are also likely guilty of tortious interference for harming channel's business relationships causing economic harm.
Add to it Google and Apple should absolutely be taken to court for violations of the Sherman Antitrust Act. They are using their market power via apps stores to eliminate potential competition which is why the argument of "just go elsewhere" is disingenuous because you basically can't!
