No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Why is there a downcast mood all across the country? (National Day of Mourning)
Monday, May 06, 2013
By J. D. Lovrenciear

Strange? Expected? There is more to what the eye sees? Yes, there is a strange downcast expression and somber mood all across the country.  This was never the case – not even all these past general elections we have had; not even in the last two elections preceding GE-13. Yes a vacuum has set in.

Despite BN announcing its ‘win’ in GE-13, there appears an obvious and distinct lack of happiness combined with a suspicious sense of shame or reserve on most people’s face that you run into, since Monday the 6th may, 2013. It is surprising that office folks and traders are sharing some kind of sympathy exchanges, saying “condolences” as they extend their hands to each other. In the past years and decades the losing voters would trade a healthy banter saying, “tak apa, ada pelung lima tahun nanti” while the winning voter will inspire with the exchange, “mana tahu, lain kali kita kala”.

PR supporters are not happy. They are hopping mad over thealleged and reported suspicious acts and fraudulent means that saw us throughthis General Elections. BN winners are also not happy. Anyone from a mile distance will tell you that the air is devoid of excitement over the winnings.  Even the press conference held by Datuk Seri Najib – flanked by his wife Datin Seri Dr. Rosmah too, was devoid of any signs of overwhelming jubilation.

People are also noticing the forced smiles on the faces of who’s who as they watched Television and viewed the U-Tube updates. Nobody seems to be rushing to snap up the newspapers as they remain in piles at newsstands. Yes, this probably is the first General Elections outcome that is being overcast with a vacuum like sensation all across the country. Why?

Those followers and supporters of the winning party are not even celebrating. People appear a little withdrawn and hesitant to proclaim, “Yes, we won” as we would always have done in all the past elections. There was no hesitation as citizens from both sides of the divide shook hands or celebrated their happy winnings, congratulating their ‘opponent’ or sympathizing for better chance the next time around.

Today we see a somber mood all across the nation. It appears there is no glory in the winnings; that there is deeper sorrow in the losses. Yes, this is reflection time for all Malaysians. It certainly reflects that Malaysians are not ready to accept the results of the voting for the first time in its political history.

For : Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi Awang, Tuan, and all, Our job on earth is to correct the wrong and make it good even if we will to lose our life for it, that is why god has given this mission to us in this life time and if it is beyond our capabilities, then it is left to god in our afterlife. In this case, I cannot accept Najib as my leader( PM ), because he is the leader of a bunch of thieves, who cheated us this GE13, Devils only know how to cheat and by accepting him as leader, then I'll become one of them, a DEVIL believer, that is why I cannot and will not accept him. I believe in God like you, Tuan Guru, sir, I respect you, but we have to do god's works as long as we are here on this earth and not afterlife. Afterlife is god's work and we got noting to do with afterlife, ours is here NOW. Thank you, Tuan Guru.
