No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Gardenia bread versus Massimo bread
Sunday, November 20, 2011
Gardenia bread is apparently owned by U Must Not Object crony, Syed Mokhtar's Tradewind Group. Frankly speaking I never knew that Gardenia was owned by them. There is another new bread in town Massimo bread. Let's support the new Massimo bread by Robert Kuok.

Most people do not know that Gardenia is an U Must Not Object crony's outfit. So the minorities who are always being screwed over, just get your act together. Try out the Massimo bread. You will know what I am talking about. That should send some kind of a message.

Tried Massimo bread, tastes better. During the promotion the wheat germ bread is sold at only RM2.50 as opposed to RM3.20 for a normal sized Gardenia loaf. The Massimo Jumbo sized loaf goes for RM3.50. Go check it out.

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Gardenia bread versus Massimo bread":

I think the bread company is still owned by a well known Indonesian Chinese company. Bernas ( subsidiary of Tradeswind) only owns 20 or 30 % shares in Gardenia. Don't give too much credit to Bernas, they cannot even make chaparti. And don't rile up the Indons by boycotting Gardenia.

The Indonesian company is the well known Salim Group which controls QAF. Don't boycott them unless owner forced to sell over control of Gardenia to Tradeswind. Bernas is just riding on the established brand name. No credit to them. Still good bread.

Distribution network still needs a lot to be done. No outlets were described in the website, what's the use to advertise the bread when consumers can't or don't know how to get it? Would like to see it selling in major towns in Sarawak too, such as Kuching, Miri, Sibu, Bintulu, etc. At least tell us how to buy the ready mixed flour e.g. Giant, E-mart, Boulevard, etc..

Ya.. it's soft and great taste. I started using it in my Japanese cooking recipes. Great response as well in my Japanese Kitchen.

3 months ago already told my wife to buy more on Massimo. Just dun give Gardenia too much monopoly.

guys…this massimo bread is another scandal that has yet to hit the government. Ajip is trying to armwrestle FFM (Federal Flour Mill) from Robert Kuok the same way they wrestled CSR (central sugar refinery) now known as MSR (malaysia sugar refinery). So Robert Kuok got pissed off as Gardenia have boycott FFM, so he set up his own brand Massimo to hit back.

How those armwrestler make their money? Simple, if value of the share is worth RM10, they will probably list at RM9-RM11. But preferred investors for example will get at RM7/share. So this is a sure win project. Guess who makes the difference in between? Election is coming soon, they need the money to gear up for war. Whose money anyway? Its always been me, you, and anyone that has got 20cents in their pocket.

fuck this racist... who is racist now?

    chinese always racist to malay...
but remember the great consumer is malay..
you want boycot malay product? we also can boycot chinese product..

    so.. who is racist now??

  • At 2:27 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

isn't all these talkings sounded racist? well, 1-sided opinion as always.........

I just can't understand why this issue has made the Chinese' mind so haywire. In business it is normal for a small entity to spread wings and products. 10 years ago Indian and China have very few millionaires compared today. The Malays see this as normal. We do not boycott Chinese products as long as they r halal. Aren't you stupid enough to know 60% of consumers in Malaysia are Malays. But when you made this issue as a combat, it shows the Chinese hati busuk ma. Iam just about to buy this bread, just want to try but hampeh...tak jadi ma!

Glad that there is a new bread in town. Compared with 2 months ago, it is now much easier to find massimo in many shops. I have consumed Gardenia for years and am getting tired of the brand. To me, massimo taste better and it is cheaper too.

  • At 5:52 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

what are you guys arguing here for? those two big tycoons already becoming richer and richer but look at yourself arguing about this issue. what do you guys get?

  • At 11:11 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I think I will choose the cheap and good quality product, no matter which company produced it.

  • At 2:25 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Robert KUOK is a hongkie, why are you supporting a foreign interest? We should bury masimo bread 6 feet under in HK. GO TO HELL HK BREAD

  • At 3:12 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

Hello bake your own bread Malaysians, why go crazy to a singapore owned or a HK owned brand. Why don't we make our own bread company and chase out both gardenia and masimo!

  • At 11:18 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

This is neither a political issue nor racism indeed. I do not care who owns the Gardenia or Massimo. All of the things that I know is the owners of the bread company only want to make maximum profit. Actually, the Gardenia bread consists of too much preservatives that are carcinogenic, which can lead to cancer due to prolonged consuming. Maybe it is tasty and soft, but it is the reality. On the other hand, Massimo consists of a little bit lesser preservatives than Gardenia ( this has been proven). However, it consists of more allergens than Gardenia bread. Both of the breads are having equal competitive edges. Please always bear in mind that nutritional facts may play tricks. The additional vitamins such as niacin and folic acid may be unstable because they are synthesised chemically, they are not from original source, except for wholegrain bread.

This is a vicious cycle for the government bullying an investor for the palm oil issue and sugar issue.

  • At 1:04 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

lets sit down and think calmly, both companies are not what i would call saints so my suggestion, support the neighbourhood bakery round the corner.............. at least i can see the bread baked before my own eyes
