I have written many times on Pakistan, oops, meaning linking articles written by others on Pakistan. The Pakis are surrendering. Here are some of the articles. The rapid disintegrating of the country got an extra boost right after the Pakistani government capitulated, by signing a peace deal with the Taliban. It is looking at a dark and beckoning evil abyss.
More...Then I wrote that Pakistan is surrendering. This is really, really bad news, as
Pakistan surrenders to Taliban terrorists. They made this deal with the same guys who basically killed Bhutto. Those "semi-autonomous" regions will have to be dealt with one day. They are a festering sore and will make a stable Afghanistan impossible. They will make a stable Pakistan impossible too. The Pakistani government does not want to deal with it.
More....Earlier in the Swat Valley they bowed down to the Taliban. Pakistan is capitulating to the Taliban in the picturesque Swat Valley, where the Islamists plan to introduce Sharia law. Now the militants' triumph threatens to encourage radicals throughout the region.
More...Remember Cricket, the sport of the Indian Sub Continent, recall the the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team? The attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore, is a sign. For the first time, the glaring reality, that Pakistan is a failed state is sinking in. We are viewing a train-wreck, with everyone on board. Pakistan has very recently passed the tipping point. The stage is all set. All that is missing now is a religious revolution. Ahh yes, this will be the end of cricket for Pakistan. One thingās for sure: If thereās been a real loser in the War On Terror, itās Pakistan. The long suffering, faction-ridden country is in serious trouble. A hideous alignment of simultaneous problems is starting to break the structure of the country.
More...Now the latest. WASHINGTON: If militants are not defeated within the next two weeks, the Pakistani government may collapse, warned the top American general. The next two weeks are critical to the Pakistani governmentās survival, US General David Petraeus stressed while offering his views on the regionās situation. The general said he was looking for concrete action from the Pakistani government to defeat the Taliban in the next two weeks before determining the United Statesā subsequent course of action.
The chief of the US Central Command told US officials that the Pakistani government is finally getting serious about combating the threat from Taliban and Al Qaeda militants. He made these assessments while talking to lawmakers and Obama administration officials this week.
Sources say General Petraeus and senior administration officials believe the Pakistani army is more powerful than the civilian government led by President Zardari, and could conceivably survive even if Zardariās government fails to topple the Taliban.
Dawn
The 'Land of the Pure' will soon be in a "World of Shit" without a paddle to back paddle. They had been riding the tiger for far too long. I forsee that their nukes will fall into the hands of the radicals and someone might, just might make Pakistan into an uninhabited waste land. Ain't that a nightmare?
