'Barisan is like the Star Wars Imperial Stormtroopers. Self-assured, arrogant, mechanical, precise, deadly shots. Pakatan is like the rebels forces. Individualistic, idealistic, noisy, catapult shooters. In the last battle, the rebels won. They won the prime chunk of the Empire. They won because the Galactic federation supported them against the greedy hoards that were the Seth Emperors, Klingon Napoleons, Jedi Knights turned Darth Vaders and Stormtroopers of Barisan.
But somehow over the last few months you get the nervy feeling that the rebels seem to have gotten droopy. They used the wrong strategy of trying to capitalize on their win at the polls by trying to build momentum by just announcing that crossovers would be imminent when they knew that Barisan will use all its resources to thwart any such attempt. Then they let a ninja get near enough to try and poison their chief.
Then one of their motley regiments started talking about hudud laws and Islamic state which they knew would cause a reaction from another regiment which they knew again would be used by Barisan as propaganda fodder to say that Pakatan was just a marriage of convenience. Meanwhile the process of getting organized to run the states they had won was also quite messy. Horse trading by race comes to mind.
After all that, they proceeded to dig in, fighting internal fires caused by the public services sector they ran, some of whose members stubbornly ignoring that the public services sector is to serve the public, not the party whose politicians might have appointed them. While all this was going on in the background, the rebels unearthed a lot of misappropriations and evil deeds against the galactic federation people, done by the previous Barisan administration, namely the Death Star Empire.
In the midst of trying to run their states better and to serve their rakyat more honestly, they found that Barisan had cut off the flow of funds to them. This again was happening during a challenging time of economic downturn, business close-downs and job shrinkages. And now after all that, they have to show that they don't even know how to manage their own reps.
When your reps are hauled up for corruption, you know they will grasp any lifeline. Barisan is purveyor extraordinaire in this department of providing lifelines. Even the judiciary system can be inspired to joget out a four month trial suspension, for all the sandiwara of being hauled to their court. And when a clerk turns assemblywoman gets short shrifted, what are the coordinates of her impending trajectory? A question, apparently, no one in the entire rebel federation even took the trouble to think out.
And that's why the empire that is Barisan had time to say everything was according to the book in their takeover of the State Assembly. But did the rebels ask whether everything was according to the book BEFORE reaching that stage? No. You know what's the trap? The trap is for the rebel forces to look like a motley trade union against a pin-striped management. See who owns the main media. See what is in the main media. Photos of tossing the yee-sang. See who owns the judiciary and the police. Is there really independence, justice, and 'according to the book'?
Man, an entire state has been stolen right before your eyes.
Where's the will of the rakyat in Perak, the voice of the Galactic Federation that was shown in KT?
Where?
You said before that Umno was ruthless. Next month you will see how ruthless they will be. After that, even more. They will bring out their new Death Stars. They are desperate because they have more to lose. Like RM170 Billion a year of national budget that they can use to play against the federation.
What are you going to do about it? When are the rebel forces going to wake up that they must stay united, they must stay focused, they must see the big picture, they must never fall asleep, they must not be naive, they must be even stronger, sharper and better than the imperial stormtroopers of the Seth Emperors, the Klingon Napoleons, the Darth Vaders.'
