Ong: BN must be fair to all
KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional must take care of all Malaysians with fairness regardless of their ethnicity in a multiracial society, said MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting. Umno should also consider the feelings of Barisan component parties when it has dialogues with other parties concerning the interest of all ethnic groups, he said. From the Towkay's paper.

Have you forgotten Kerismuddin's antics? What feelings? UMNO does not care a fig's leaf about your feelings! Since when did it care for the rest of you. You dare not rebuke UMNO strongly, but you show your cojones when you want to talk and condemn the DAP and Pas working together. You are talking very subserviently, especially so when it comes to UMNO. Remember this, MCA secretary-general Datuk Ong Ka Chuan says DAP and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) are courting danger by cooperating with PAS if they cannot stop the Islamic party from giving up its plans of turning Malaysia into an Islamic state.

In an interview with Sin Chew Daily published today, he used the Chinese proverb "Yang hu wei huan" (rearing a tiger to court calamity later) to describe the action of the two parties in forming Rakyat (PR) with PAS. He pointed out that people will drop their guard against PAS' Islamic state goal now that the party is part of the alliance.

But politics is unpredictable, and "who can guarantee that PAS will not go ahead to make Malaysia an Islamic state in time to come when it becomes powerful enough to do so?" he asked. So what have you guys in MCA have got to say now? Especially so when Pas and UMNO are trying to push the Islamic State agenda. Here is a Kenny Gan , who says it like it is: MCA has always castigated DAP for working with PAS. Before the 2008 elections, MCA tried to whip up fear among the Chinese that DAP's co-operation with PAS meant support for an Islamic state. After the elections, MCA's Ong Ka Chuan demanded that DAP apologise to the Chinese for misleading them and forming state governments with PAS.

Now that news has broken out that Umno has talked to PAS about sharing power, why is MCA so quiet? DAP is the devil for cooperating with PAS, but not Umno? Or is it that MCA dare not speak up against their Umno masters? MCA's hypocrisy has been revealed for all to see. Their trousers have slipped off and their stark impotence is not a pretty sight. Here is some more, a comment by someone who calls himself, A Malaysian Chinese: The MCA is just not relevant anymore.It is supposed to represent the Chinese community, but it has very much failed to defend and protect the rights and dignity of the community they're supposed to protect.Where was Ong Ka Chuan when Khir Toyo makde seditious racist remarks the other day? He loves to take pot shots at DAP, accusing them of joining with PAS, on Islamisation yadda, yadda, yadda.

But when his master wants to make the same pact with PAS, why doesn't he jumps up and accuse Umno of playing the same game? MCA should be dissolved (like the MIC) because race-based politics is nearing its end and they're still in slumber.If they have any dignity left, they should resign and follow the footsteps of some of the other MCA leaders who are now going to join Pakatan Rakyat ( I salute them for their bravery and conscience).With 15 MP seats in hand, MCA should use this to join Pakatan Rakyat and made it easier for Anwar and the PR to take over this country from the clutches of Umno.
