The Soldier stood and faced God

7th Rangers (Mech) were involved in the Exercise "Pasak Bumi" from the 7th November until the 18th November 2006. A total of 21 Officers and 657 other ranks participated in this exercise. This exercise was to test the fighting capability of the battalion. The support elements that participated were from 11th Engineers Squadron , 4th Signal Squadron, 4th Ordnance, 4th Provost, Staff Station Kuantan, Staff Station Temerloh, 505 Regiment of the Terriers and Camp 4 Brigade (Mechanized).

The participants of this exercise had to undergo a rigorous forced march of 120 kilometres in 7 days, carrying, combat rations, water and ammunition after which they mounted an attack on a "Enemy" location. The attack was a complete success.
