No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

We Have Ars*ho**s for Neighbours Part 2
Wednesday, October 11, 2006
Again I am not referring to Singapore, it's those goons who called Singapore a tiny dot. -Edit

First of all I must say that it is unusual that all English newspapers here including yours have chosen the word "haze" to describe this unhealthy air that has been produced annually by Indonesia since the 90s and that flows across the Malacca Straits to pollute neighbouring countries. "Haze" should not be associated with air pollution. The proper word for it is "smog" which is really atmosphere with suspended micron-size particulates wheras haze is atmosphere with condensed water vapour which was commonly experienced at places like Templar's Park in the 50's, 60's and even in the early 70's.

Having said this, the other thing is that we seem to have accepted its annual occurence as if the two seasons in this country are not the rainy season and dry season, but the rainy season and smoggy season, and it is alright with us. Come on, what is wrong with Malaysia and all of us? Let us make no bones about this. Indonesia is the culprit. No need to make excuses for her - she is poor, she has wide territories to govern blah, blah.

Even the Director-General of Tourism Malaysia said that the situation is not alarming. The health of this nation must not be negotiable. Indonesia is responsible for causing untold damage to the health of our children and feeble senior citizens whether it is Indonesians doing the burning or Malaysian companies in Indonesia doing it. It is coming from the soil of Indonesia wafting across the Straits to pollute our air.

This problem is exactly like nations sharing the same river system. The country on the upper reaches of the river polluting the river is deemed to have committed an act of war to the country on the lower reaches of the river. Trans-border pollution whether polluting the water of another nation or the air of another must never be tolerated or condoned. The most recent case is the chemical contamination of a river in northern China which also runs through Russia to the Baltic Sea. Here is a one-off case and yet China has to pay damages to Russia. In Malaysia's case it is an annual affair since the 90's and it is alright with us because compared with other places it is not too bad! The mentality of all of us is nothing if not amazing. We shouldn't and mustn't accept that Indonesia is too poor to do anything about it. Being poor is no licence to commit such atrocities! S.C. Cheah via e-mail. From Sun2Surf

Here are the faces of the butchers involved in the Genocide in 1965, you can recognise the Thug In Chief, Suharto, he is in cams holding his swagger stick.

I am not talking about Singapore. I am talking about the Indonesians, year in, year out they annually inflict this calamity upon us. There is no outrage from the man, foreign minister who is full of air against Lee Kuan Yew, he is the one with no hair. He was full of gas demanding apologies. What does he do now, hardly a whimper along with our mighty kris bearers and others, who act thuggishly against our own peaceful citizens . We have these genocidal maniacs ,doing peace keeping, when they could use them to enforce no burning rules in Indonesia instead of sending troops to Lebanon. It's a joke when a nation that commits serial genocide is allowed to partake in peacekeeping duties by the toothless United Nations.

A rare picture of Indonesians slaughtering their ethnic Chinese minority. They are waiting their turn to be bayonetted. One million were killed in 1965.

Our politicians are only brave when it comes to tiny Singapore, where are the demonstrations against the Indons, they knowingly conduct disgraceful demos against visiting dignitaries, not too long ago. It is high time there be a series of demonstrations against the Indonesians. Do something like what they did to the American and Israeli flags, after all flag burning was sanctioned. It's time the Indonesians stop all these havoc they are creating against nature and us long suffering Malaysians. It's easy for the rich and powerful as they stay in air conditioned and filtered surroundings and not realise that the poor suffer too.

We should tell them bluntly to get their shit organised and go against these forest arsonists in their land with the same enthusiaism they inflicted on the Timorese, Achenese, Papuans and of course their own in 1965. Maybe, just maybe, they deserve this mud bath, which they inflicted upon themselves.

A mud bath in Indonesian Java, expanding......

The haze this time round is the worst I have seen, I have run out of goodwill, sympathy and patience. "May the mud be with them !"
