Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Today I am not blogging about the Military, about heroes in the Malaysian Armed Forces. I will blog about villains who tarnished the good name of the country. One has to realise that soldiers get killed, maimed and traumatised along with loneliness, separations, lost love and destroyed lives in the service of the nation, not expecting much in return. They created the peace in Malaysia. Some in the Police Force, think it's okay to keep on protecting the "SICKOS" in the Police Force who are destroying the image of the country, OUR COUNTRY, Malaysia.
"Eerie Parallel to Abu Ghraib", from Jeff Ooi's blog at Malaysiakini. That captured my attention. Some deny, some get offended by that statement. It has a parallel, i.e. Abu Ghraib is in a War Zone, a conquered people being imprisoned. Brutality is part and parcel of all wars throughout the Centuries.People living under constant threat of being killed or maimed behave differently.I would like to say, "People who live in glass houses should not in future, hurl boulders". It tends to come back to you in a very BIG way.
In the "Abu Ghraib" of Malaysia, it was done in 'peacable' Malaysia against a Tourist. Can you imagine what would have happened to that poor lady, had she been detained in a "War Zone, in Malaysia" ? The real Abu Ghraib would have been put to shame. A helpless female being humiliated by the people who are supposed to serve and protect. Whether we like it or not, the Royal Malaysian Police have abused and humiliated many, the list is long.
The question now is, why is the IGP not even squealing, getting the Deputy IGP to act as his front man. The Deputy IGP, instead of getting the culprits and checking out all previous abuses, goes out emitting threats to the GOOD Man or Woman who did the recording. How do we expect Malaysians and the world to respect these pathetic individuals who head the Police Force ?
With Leadership comes responsibilities, take responsibility for the crimes of your subordinates, how you train them, is how they would behave in the field. I guess training is something YOU DO NOT LOOK INTO. Hello the Inspector General of the Royal Malaysian Police, please "Sound Off Like You Have a Pair", the Rakyat are awaiting your response which has only resonated with a very LOUD SILENCE !
For the stupidest and most idiotic statement, by the Deputy IGP, “There will not be any cover-up, and anyone involved in any illegal activity, like recording or even using a phone in a restricted area, will be brought to book.We will not hesitate to dismiss them. ".
This is a deliberate and shameless attempt to shoot down the WHISTLEBLOWER!!!!!!!! We the Rakyat, get to be kept in the dark. No one will know and the abuses will continue with impunity. For examples, Google Custodial Deaths In Malaysia.
For the Politicians who are in charge of these low lifes, stop giving pathetic excuses, STOMP on the Police Chiefs backs, put them on the Red Carpet, ask them to explain in not less than 150 words why they should not be sacked. If you politicians, are not up to it, please have the balls to resign your posts, let someone who are more efficient take over your pathetic reign over these scumbags who call themselves POLICE !!!
